Before I turned 22, I wore red lipstick maybe once. Now that I'm older and feel that I can be more bold, this is one of my go-to evening looks. However, there are some things to consider to make your va-va-voom lips work for you:
1. Exfoliate: Do this in the shower with a scrub or with your toothbrush. Small circular motions help you get smooth lips
2. Choose a cool-tone red if you are fair skinned, like me
3. Put lipstick on in this order: chapstick, lipstick, blot with tissue, lipstick again
4. Use a lip stain and lipstick together for longer wear.
5. This is the most important rule for me: go easy on the eye makeup.
Bold red lips pair beautifully with nearly naked eyes.
All you need is mascara or a winged liner on top
