Today I thrifted for myself, and for my friend Guy (who needed something for his play).
Sometimes one thinks "WHY would someone want this?"

While other times, like today, one asks "How could anyone give this up?"

 I found this cute little pink pot at a thrift store.

I bought it for .49 cents.

Not sure what I'm going to do with it, but it will be cute no matter where I put it.

In addition, I went to Urban Outfitters and bought my owl bank & bird art on clearance (yay!)

Tonight was one of those nights that you never forget. It was a beautiful summer evening, filled with great music, great people, and best of all...fireworks! Kelsey, Katie, and I went to Union Station in KC for the festival. I got to see Annie working at the iced coffee vendor too! Later on, I met up with my brother and mama! He danced, people clapped, he bowed.

It's getting hot, and it's time for me to dig deep into my closet for those spaghetti-strap tank tops, denim skirts, and flowy summer dresses. Tank tops can be so boring, but wearing one with ruffles around the neckline makes for a softer, more feminine look.

Shrek the Final Chapter (or Forever After) was...meh. I laughed out loud a few times. I love that "Puss In Boots" gets fat. Other than that, it was pretty darn depressing. However, I had some good company.

This lovely belt will be mine in t-minus 6 days. I'm just waiting for it to ship. So cheap, $6.80 and from Forever21.com

I will wear it with pretty summer dresses, like this:
