amazingly almost autumn

It's getting a wee bit cooler, less humidity, better hair days, lower blood pressure, quieter bugs, chillier nights, and pumpkin decor and food are appearing in stores. I will undoubtedly say that my favorite time of the year is mid September to the end of December. I love the way it makes me feel; the cool air blowing through my hair, the site of changing leaves, and the crisp smell of pumpkins and cinnamon. With this change in season comes other things, like the last few uses I squeeze out of my summer colors of nail polish. and, you guessed it, starting to wear scarves!


I love this color by O.P.I. It's "Cajun Shrimp" and it's a cool blend of orange, coral, and pink. I own it and I'm sad to see it as one of those colors that I only can wear in the summer, technically. Unless I want to look like a flamingo at christmastime.

AND AND, this is a compilation of a few of my many, many scarves. Some of these are summer scarves, too, but I'm so excited to wear my warm wintery ones.

Blood orange cinnamon black tea. I've had quite a few free samples in the back of a grocery store, and I finally decided that I'm going to buy it next time I'm there (instead of scavenging). It is so good.

i had a dream last night that my sister and i opened a shop together downtown where i made fabulous jewelry and fragrances and she made her adorable "jen's paper designs" wedding invitations, cards, and calendars. in my dream, we were the bomb. then our store got shot at..and i realized i was only dreaming about gunshots because i was hearing them: there were actual gunshots being fired off at the apartment complex around 2am. nice.
