It's different when you're lonely. The whole worlds in love

I found a Sally Hansen nail polish that combines two of my favorite colors: purple and gray.
Together, they create a matte, dim, grayish color that looks edgy. It's almost an ugly pretty? You know? My favorite kind of pretty.

I found the picture below online of the polish in daylight, for a true color.

oh, inverted world.

We all have our favorite band, a band that reaches deep within our souls and sparks something that makes us feel infinite, free, peaceful, happy, and wholesome.
For me, that band is The Shins (then comes Tool). I don't think I've listened to a song from them that did not resonate with me. They are my most played artist on my iPod, and every time I listen to them I get the same feeling: peace.

They are so perfect for me.

I want their albums as posters some day.
And I want to meet James Mercer, what a talented man.

I ate at The Mirth Cafe last night, and I was surprised at how cute and quaint it was. They used lots of vintage glass vases to display many many flowers, which added a really nice look to the restaurant. In my own home, like my mom does, I want to take advantage of old recyclable goods. It looks so elegant.

Don't you feel better already?

the weirdest?

This is a Thai basil seed drink (nam manglak). It looks pretty weird, but I've been reading about it because I'm intrigued. The seeds are in a type of gelatin lump, like tapioca pearls. The drink is sweet and sometimes is flavored with vanilla, honey, rose water, peppermint, or banana. I need to find this drink.

beautiful day

Hello all,
It's a breezy, beautiful, warm day in February. Why is this not strange? Because we live in Kansas.

Today, I feel vibrant

sassy.

1. The sparkly flat. Fun and chic. Target.com

2. The classy, colorful flat. The perfect date-night or wear-to-work shoe. Brick red is a fun splash of color. Target.com

3. The floral flat. My ultimate favorite. A once inappropriate shoe for this time of year, but come springtime, these will be the perfect day-wear.

Even if you are SHORT, like me, your feet can still be dolled up with these pretty shoes. If your feet are happy, the rest of you may follow suit.

rambles

Just a few thoughts for today

1. I went to tjmaxx for a one-piece swimsuit (for swimming and not for looking hot), and got one for way cheaper than my first stop. And it fits me better too. "Way to be a smart shopper" - Jen Gawler. Why did I not discover tjmaxx sooner?

2. Speaking of swimsuits, I have 30-day membership (plus 3 trial days) to the Indoor Aquatic Center. This knee won't keep me down any longer and it's time to whip my jiggly bum into shape.

3. I had was craving jello last night, which is ironic because today I feel like jello. I don't know if it was the swimming or the fact that perhaps I'm getting sick, but I feel weird.

4. Why was it so cold today? 8 degrees and windy, then snow. no fun

5. KU had a great win last night. To all the Mizzou fans at the game last night who were being extremely obnoxious, all I have to say is: Rock Chalk.

6. My love affair with winter has reached it's breaking point. Yes, I am ready for spring.

7. I want to learn how to make these, whatever they are

bye y'all.

I wasn't going to write another post about a beverage since my last post was about hot chocolate, BUT since I got bubble tea today, I thought it was appropriate. Bubble tea is all the rage, and if you haven't tried it, you should! House of Cha' makes some yummy bubbly goodnes.

I was looking through my pictures and decided there was enough bubble tea pics for a legit blog. Unfortunately I lost a few pictures throughout the years, but you get it.
